TRIP DESCRIPTION

Cape Froward, the southernmost point of the Continental world, Glaciers, Humpback Whales, Sei Whales, Southern Dolphins, Toninas Overas, Magellanic Penguins are part of the natural wonders of this southern area of the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego.
In one of the most remote and pristine places on the planet. A full day trip will make us feel nature in its most natural state, leaving very early from our offices, we will travel by bus to our embarkation 50 kilometers south of Punta Arenas, and then navigate for 10 hours: An unmissable journey where we can enjoy a unique landscape surrounded by mountains, glaciers and lengas and coihues forests. The marine life present in the area will not cease to surprise us due to its proximity and abundance: sea lions, petrels, cormorants, southern dolphins, etc. They will make us feel that nature is felt and lived here.
Our marine itinerary includes: Set sail from Punta Carrera, Punta Santa Ana, promontory where Fort Bulnes is located, San Isidro Lighthouse, Stop to drop off passengers at Camp “Cabo Froward”, Cape Froward, Cape Holland, Rupert Island, Paso Inglés , Paso Shag, Seno Helado and return to Punta Carrera.

Season: From December 1 to March 31.

Weather: Navigation subject to weather conditions.

ITINERARY

Schedule full day excursion

06:00 am Meeting at the Solo Expeditions office or Bahía Carrera (km 50 south)

06:15 am Set sail and navigation through the Strait of Magellan

07:30 am Pass through Cape Froward, southernmost point of the American continent.

09:30 am - 13:00 pm Navigation in the “Francisco Coloane” Marine Park sector, watching humpback whales, cormorants, skuas, petrels, albatrosses, sea lions, sea elephants and occasionally groups of orcas.

13:00 pm Return navigation

Transfer back to Punta Arenas
